The current standards set for the cosmetic industry are lacking in a major way. At BTrue Naturals we created higher standards for our company and set out to be a leader in natural skin care products and chemical free body care.
The lack of knowledge in the skin care industry leads to consumer confusion making it hard for consumers to make educated decisions in purchasing skin care products. We want to help promote and educate people on the seriousness of this issue and the effect it can have on the future. Education is the key to making good choices in the skin care products you purchase. We want you as a consumer to feel safe in knowing that the products you are purchasing from BTrue Naturals are safe and effective. Below are the guidelines BTrue Naturals vows to follow in order to keep our customers, their safety and the environment at the utmost importance. Our Guidelines:

• Find companies that test for contamination • The ingredients in the products we sell have a hazard score no higher than 4* • To continue our own education, keeping you up to date on the latest information • Dedicated to find companies who focus on improving their products • Dedicated to find companies who help the environment • Product lines we carry have NO: artificial or synthetic Colors or Fragrances, Parabens, Petrochemicals (PEG's, Mineral Oils, Petrolatum, Propylene Glycol), Phthalates, SLS or SLES, DEA, TEA, MEA & Animal Testing *Hazard score and data gap percentage is used from the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database.
Learn what ingredients to avoid
There are many controversial ingredients out on the market today. There is a lot of confusing information out about cosmetic ingredients. Just because an ingredient is synthetic doesn't always make it unsafe & just because an ingredient is natural doesn't always make it safe, for example look at poison ivy. The major issue is the lack of studies being done & not knowing the long term effects of these synthetic ingredients on people & the environment. Ingredients of a plant origin will be more recognizable by your body & the environment allowing them to be more easily broken down.
It is important to help promote companies that are trying to follow a higher standard in creating natural skin care products and organic body care.
